Nick joined the industry in 1992 as a finance consultant for the Pearl Insurance Company. After a short period, Nick was promoted to an Area Manager covering the majority of the county.

Wanting to offer a wider range of financial products and promotions, Nick then became an IFA in 1999, and three years later he set up his own brokerage in Newhaven with a life long friend. In 2007 Nick made a decision to go it alone and set up Haven Home Loans Ltd.
